The joy of running a 1989 Volkswagen Golf Mark2 1.8 GTI 16V. All the experiences running an iconic 80s car as a daily vehicle. The VW Golf Mk2 was introduced in 1984 and my 1989 16V GTi model was released just before the "big bumper" revisions which were sold from late 1989.
One of the jobs I needed to do when I got my Golf was to secure the front grille correctly. When I bought it the grille was attached with cable ties so I wanted to get the proper fitting. These are some shots of the grille before fixing it.
