The joy of running a 1989 Volkswagen Golf Mark2 1.8 GTI 16V. All the experiences running an iconic 80s car as a daily vehicle. The VW Golf Mk2 was introduced in 1984 and my 1989 16V GTi model was released just before the "big bumper" revisions which were sold from late 1989.
A friend bought a 1987 Golf GTI 16V and has fitted a twin pipe exhaust but has found it a bit too loud for his neighbourhood when he starts early shifts at 4am!
